The Full Story
Figuring out the direction for my life has been a process of discovery. Having graduated from high school with no concrete vision, I majored in the first thing I was both interested in and good at: French Language, Literature, and Culture. While I enjoyed the experiences and appreciated the language and culture, nothing called to me as a career.
Happily, I returned to the Center for English as a Second Language, where I'd worked as a student, and gained valuable communication experience working with international students on a daily basis. Crafting fliers, brochures, and emails that were accessible and easily understood by this diverse population challenged me to go above and beyond, to focus on what the students needed and how I could best share that information.
Finally! A path appeared that would allow me to leverage my problem-solving skills and creativity for the benefit of others while engaging my mind and growing my capabilities. This portfolio is a collection of technical communication pieces crafted during my time at Arizona State University that has awakened my passion for design, learning, communication, and connection.
