EcoGro
Usability Report
One could argue that a website has two main objectives: to capture the audience's attention and provide the information they need. If the organization provides goods or services, a third objective should be added: convince the audience to spend their money at this organization. With a website serving such important functions, it should be easy to navigate, visually appealing, and functional.
To that end, my experience conducting website usability testing helped identify several important changes that could be implemented to improve a chosen website: EcoGro, a business dedicated to succulent plants and aquaponics. The usability testers were all people who were interested in succulents or who knew someone interested in EcoGro's products and services. Based on prior knowledge and experience of the store and its website, my three tasks for usability testing were easy to identify, and testing participants was efficient and informative.
My careful observation of the participants and detailed write-up of the test results and recommendations for improvement illustrates my proficiency with usability testing, research, and analytical skills.
